Anti-itch lotion with Benedryl or cortisone cream. I never go anywhere without it. The Mexican farmacias have stronger stuff than you can get over the counter in US.

Bring some zip lock bags to keep things dry at the pool and beach. Bring bug repellant for no-see-ums at beach.
